Had a rubbish day today down at Hayling beach front when I should really have been loving it. I met Ed down there at 7.00am (well, actually I was there at 6.30am and rigged by the time he arrived). Don't know what's happened to my sailing this weekend. Barring one half decent wave ride, I was rubbish. The rip on the inside was vicious today - never seen it like that before! I was really stacked on the 4.7 - and badly rigged too it turned out, as the downhaul had slipped but I hadn't realised until half way through the session. But even re-rigging didn't make matters much better. I was on the new K-bay waveboard - but that isn't the problem, as it was quite easy to sail once I got going. It was just getting going consistently was the problem - I spent the whole time fighting today. Then to top it all, I put my back out near the end of the session. Now I'm walking like an old man! Grrr! I did a lot of very loud swearing at the sea today...!

Oh well, I guess you've got to take the rough with the smooth in this game! But I did wonder at times why I don't just take up dominoes or something...!
